Sawyer's Room & Stuff

Patricia is entering her third trimester and everything is going great.  As we get closer to March 25th the nursery is starting to come together.  We have an entire list to get done over the next couple months, including some sort of birthing classes, but today let's talk about the nursery. The painting is mostly done minus some very annoying trimming.  The theme of the room is the sea, although PBG wanted it to be a mermaid room.  I did ask PBG if "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid can be played each time you walk in, but that got shot down.

We started our registry a couple weeks ago and thinking about a few of the bigger pieces.  I was lucky enough to find a great glider and nice changing table on Craigslist for a good deal.  The table needs some touching up, and the Glider will probably need some help from Mrs. Nydia, but it was a steal.

While I've had some success around the house, not all of my projects end well.  We planned on painting Patricia's old wicker furniture white, but I found out painting wicker furniture is kind of difficult.  There are hundreds of crevices, and the paint is starting to crack.  It's safe to say that this project was a fail.  If you are in need of some badly painted wicker furniture it will probably be coming to a curbside near you.

Sawyer's book collection has begun....

Here is a snapshot of Sawyer's first wardrobe.  Photo one - Eric's sporty selection. Photo two - PBG's "glam" selection.

Last but not least check out Sawyer's first dress.  Thanks Benjamin Meyer. :)
